Foals 2011

2011 >  2010 >  2009 >  2008

Sire: Dothan Charlie
Dam: Grangewood Daphne, Dam's sire: Bodernog Master

Charisma was the first born foal of 2011. By Dothan Charlie and out of Grangewood Daphne we knew we had something special straight away. Grangewood Daphne had bred Captivation early the year before and unfortunatley Charisma was not so early but still a big strong filly. The Walton Supreme cross on Daphne seemed to work well in the past and so it was exciting to see a Charlie foal out of her, as he was half brother to Walton Supreme. This filly is double bred to Hillmoor Enterprise and probably has one of the best pedigrees in the modern breed. Along with a good bloodline, she had a great presence at birth earning her the name Charisma!!

Only born 8th March and successfully shown to 3rd place at North West and Wales Foal Show!!

Sire: Wheathead Bowes Lyon
Dam: Snelson Lady Marion, Dam's sire: ithersay Joseph

Pandora was the second foal of 2011 (8th April), and the second foal for Snelson Lady Marion! She was very easy to foal and Pandora was a very sharp filly that looked an exciting prospect from day 1. Again we felt very lucky to get another filly with four perfect white legs and she was a very nice hard bay with a good hind leg. Pandora is by Wheathead Bowes Lyon, who again has some good breeding, a mix of Moorfield Edward and Blackden Charlie. Pandora no doubt has a bright future in the show ring and breeding world. Pandora was awarded 1st prize filly at the Royal Norfolk Show 2011 where her mother Lady Marion Qualified for HOY's. We weaned Pandora before HOY's.

Sire: Wheathead Bowes Lyon
Dam: Ruskington Foxy Lady, Dam's sire: Trofarth Cymro

Timelord was Foxy Lady's fourth foal, and a second colt on the trot, after Lord Nelson in 2010. A good bay colt with four white legs Timelord got his name as he was born one day before Ben returned from working in Spain for the winter, so unfortunately Ben missed the birth, the mare couldn't wait any longer and foaled so we ran out of..Time. Being by Bowes Lyon he has a big powerful back and some nice hair and bone, and a very tall colt. Subsequently Timelord has been sold to a riding home.

Sire: Dothan Charlie
Dam: Acle Marchioness, Dam's sire: Bodernog Master

Another cracking filly to end the 2011 breeding season. Good bloodlines and a full sister to OC EMPEROR who had done so well at the Peterborough show finishing 3rd in a very competitive yearling class. Empress does have a mixed front offside leg but we feel that gives her some character and something different to distinguish her from all the others. She is very similar to Emperor in many ways including her conformation and her massive size. She was born on the 8th May which meant that all of our fillies were born on the 8th of the month in 2011. 8th March- Charisma, 8th April - Pandora, and 8th May- Empress!!
