Old Croft Shire Stud specialises in breeding and showing Shire horses, the "Great Horse" that can trace its ancestry back to the time of William the Conqueror. Set in the Heart of the Fens, Old Croft Shire Stud endeavour to breed and produce quality Shire horses for any market requirement. We aim to meet the standards of the top end show market and we supply horses that have the correct conformation, temperament and bloodlines to be able to be held in the highest esteem Worldwide. We have sold many horses abroad and in the UK, so meeting the customers needs is one of our main goals. Our herd consists of Shires that have been specially aquired from many breeders throughout the UK for their unique bloodlines that make them a valuable asset to the Old Croft Shire Stud.
We will have horses for sale, and colt foals will generally be offered for sale at weaning time (late summer). However if you are interested in any of the horses we have please feel free to enquire. We may be able to find something suitable or have progeny for sale, as we aim to please and help every customer find a horse that suits their specific needs. We do encourage people to enquire early in the breeding season if they are interested in foals or mares in foal. We are also interested in buying top quality horses and improving the horses that we own, through selective breeding with some of the best bloodlines available Worldwide.
